The Chaplaincy Team is excited to be adding this new role of Pastoral Support Worker to their team. The role will provide pastoral support to patients, family, and staff, as part of the wider Patient and Family Support Team. We believe that each person has value and want to grow our team to increase the care we can offer to the hospital community. We believe that this is a fundamental part of what will take our organisation from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding.’
We are looking for a candidate who will be passionate about delivering pastoral support to the hospital community, both directly and by supporting the volunteers that work as part of the Chaplaincy team. You must be a good listener who can provide compassionate support to those in distress. You must have experience of caring for others in a professional or voluntary context, and be committed to providing personalised care within an acute hospital setting, acknowledging the need to listen in order to find out what matters to each person as an individual. The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be supported to identify training and/or development opportunities to develop their skills.
